Bullying, Harassment & Violence Policy
Restoration Church is committed to providing a work environment that is free from bullying, harassment,
and occupational violence. Bullying, violence, intimidation, or harassment are not acceptable behaviours at
this church and are not part of our work culture.
Child Safety Policy
The purpose of this policy is:
- To facilitate the prevention of child abuse occurring within Restoration Church.
- To work towards an organisational culture of child safety.
- To prevent child abuse within Restoration Church.
- To ensure that all parties are aware of their responsibilities for identifying possible occasions for child abuse and for establishing controls and procedures for preventing such abuse and/or detecting such abuse when it occurs.
- To provide guidance to staff/volunteers/contractors as to action that should be taken where they suspect any abuse within or outside of the organisation.
- To provide a clear statement to staff/volunteers/contractors forbidding any such abuse.
- To provide assurance that all cases of suspected abuse will be reported and fully investigated.
Code Of Conduct Policy - Child Safe
Restoration Church is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all participants, especially children and vulnerable
people involved in programs run by Restoration Church.
When you work within this Code of Conduct you will be supporting the rights of the participant, ensuring a safe
environment for all.
Code Of Conduct Policy - Members
This Code of Conduct provides guidelines on the maturity and character standards we expect of those in leadership in Restoration Church. In his Word, God makes it clear that the character of leaders is to be exemplary. They are to operate with integrity, enthusiasm, compassion and patience in all areas of their lives (2 Tim 4:2, 2 Tim 4:5, Eph 2:10).
Complaints Policy
This policy ensures that all we are equipped to handle complaints fairly, efficiently, and effectively. When it
comes to complaint management, our system is intended to enable staff, elders, or members to respond to
issues in a timely manner and provide the church information that can be used to improve and/or make
corrections.
Data Protection Policy
Restoration Church is committed to protecting personal data and respecting the rights of our data subjects; the people whose personal data we collect and use. We value the personal information entrusted to us and we respect that trust, by complying with all relevant laws, and adopting good practice.
Emergency Response Policy
The Restoration Church 'Emergency Response' policy has been designed to ensure the safety of all staff and visitors to the Church in the case of fire, lockdown, chemical spill, bomb threat or other emergency.
It is essential that persons within the church are familiar with the procedures to be adopted in the case of an emergency.
First Aid Policy
To guide the provision of first aid to people suffering injury or illness.
Sexual Harassment Policy
The Sexual Harassment Policy sets out the legal responsibilities and obligations of staff, elders, members, and
volunteers of Restoration Church in relation to sexual harassment under the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth)
and the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic).
Workplace Health and Safety Policy
The Elders are firmly committed to a policy enabling all activities to be carried out safely, and with all possible measures taken to remove (or at least reduce) risks to the health, safety and welfare of staff, elders, congregation members, volunteers, visitors, and anyone else who may be affected.
